Guitar Hero III Invitational Results

Congratulations to everyone who participated at the Merriweather Library on May 2nd.
There was an excellent turn out with 72 players and audience members.
All Rounds were in Pro Face Off. First Round with 16 contestants was played at HARD level. All other rounds were in EXPERT level.
The songs were:
Paranoid by Black Sabbath (Round 1 -- Hard)
Stricken by Disturbed (Round 2 -- Expert)
Raining Blood by Slayer (Round 3 -- Expert)
Through the Fire & the Flames by Dragonforce (Final Round -- Expert)
Rikky Martin-LeRoux [Clearfield Library] won 3rd place and Kevin Grant [Central Library Teen Room] won 4th place. Both Rikky and Kevin won movie tickets and a choice of several CDs.
The final two contestants were Nick Baez and Joel Gatti both from the Boston Library
Nick won with a score of 412,637!
The grand prize was an acoustic guitar.
Joel came in 2nd place.
Joel won a $25 GameStop gift card plus a choice from several music CDs.

Saturday May 2nd @ 1pm
at the
Qualifying Rounds are being held at 20 different locations throughout the system.
The next qualify will be held at the Central library on March 20th
in the Teen Room from 3-5.

Teen Room! Everyday!

TEEN ROOM PHASE ONE has begun!

Beginning Monday, September 15th, the Central Library's Teen Room will be open from 3:00-6:00 Monday through Friday!

Come on in to hang out, use the computers, and play some PS2 or Wii games on our brand new flat screen HDTV.

Before the couches arrive, before the books are shelved, before the art supplies are put into bins-the first phase of the Teen Room!

Come to the Teen Room now and you can say, "I was there when it all began!"
